The opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and execution-minded SEO Lead to own and scale the strategy and performance of our organic search channel. Reporting to the Demand Generation Lead, you will define and drive a comprehensive SEO strategy—spanning technical SEO, content, Digital PR and link building and on-site optimisation—designed to grow awareness, increase traffic, and improve conversion across our ICP in core markets.

You’ll be deeply familiar with both SEO best practices and emerging trends including generative search and AI-augmented content discovery. But you won’t just think strategically—you’ll also be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done: from auditing SEO performance continuously, writing and publishing content, owning the end-to-end execution of initiatives and tracking performance to continuously optimise results."

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end SEO strategy across technical, on-site, and content domains, aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, including ongoing developments in AI and LLM-based search, and apply emerging insights to future-proof our organic visibility
  • Based on search landscape changes, make data-backed recommendations for further areas of investment to improve organic results
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Content, Product Marketing, Web, Brand, and Product teams to amplify impact.

Execution & Delivery

  • Be comfortable executing key initiatives at pace directly—writing and publishing content, running audits, implementing SEO fixes, and owning tool setup and optimisation, in partnership with Content Marketing Manager.
  • Manage and improve site architecture, URL structures, schema markup, and technical health in coordination with web lead and web developers.
  • Develop and optimise landing pages and blog content for priority keywords and user intent.
  • Coordinate internal and freelance resources as needed to scale content production and optimisation.

Performance & Reporting

  • Establish KPIs and build a regular reporting cadence to monitor SEO health and performance using tools such as GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Looker.
  • Identify optimisation opportunities and implement data-driven improvements to drive measurable growth.
  • Report channel performance to stakeholders regularly and make clear, actionable recommendations.

Collaboration & Experimentation

  • Work closely with the Demand Generation, Brand and product marketing teams to ensure adequate support is provided to SEO programs and also integrate SEO efforts into broader ongoing acquisition campaigns.
  • Partner with Brand and Content teams to optimise content for organic discovery in AI and search engines and build digital PR programs.
  • Partner across teams to ensure we have a robust content strategy that serves our brand-building and demand generation objectives
  • Test and learn continuously, bringing creativity and a growth mindset to experimentation.

What good looks like

  • Proven success leading SEO strategy and execution in a SaaS business targeting an SMB and/or mid-market audience.
  • Strong understanding of both technical and content SEO, with hands-on experience implementing fixes and optimisations.
  • Exceptional copywriting and editorial skills, with an eye for search intent and conversion.
  • Ability to think strategically while also managing day-to-day tactical execution.
  • Curiosity and understanding of LLMs and their role in surfacing content across AI-enabled search tools.
  • Experience navigating and influencing cross-functional teams in a collaborative and agile environment.
  • Comfortable working with tools like GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Looker, Hubspot, Storyblok and/or other CMS platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with a bias for action—able to prioritise, measure, and optimise at speed.
  • Curious and adaptable: keen to explore how generative AI and evolving search behaviours shape the future of organic discoverability.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with programmatic SEO and structured content strategies.
  • Experience in optimising for YouTube, Reddit, and other non-traditional search platforms.
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams (Brand, Product, Web, Content).
  • SaaS project management experience preferred but not required—attitude, drive, and execution ability matter most.
